My major problem is the plots of the first two episodes and what those plots are likely to mean. There’s also the parallel of Red Flag to The Brotherhood. Just once I’d like to see a superpowers show that doesn’t have to do with eradicating the group of people that have powers. That’s what’s really bugging me.
Well that and how Hicks’s sudden joining of Rosen’s team equals semi-stability between the personalities of all the other team members. It just felt wrong. If they don’t get along in the field then have them work through it, don’t just suddenly make them work like an almost perfect machine.
Those are my major issues right now. I’m going to give it a little longer to see if the writers will surprise me. I hope they do, but I’m just annoyed by the current development.
I haven’t seen the latest episode, but there are some things I think that do differentiate it from X-Men.
- Their powers are sensory based.
- They overuse their powers they are stunned temporarily and can barely function. The only character who I remember acting this way off hand is Bill, the guy…
